Abstract

The topic of music and its influence on emotions is discussed wide throughout the history of music, especially in an applied way. In recent decades we find scientific studies on music as an emotional stimulus. Some methods, such as neuroimaging or hormones, allow a detailed analysis of the effects of music and sound on the human being. This work presents the most notable contributions in this regard, at the same time as it proposes actions in the field of emotional education through the use of music. Emotional awareness and emotional regulation, among other skills, can be favored because the use of music in people's lives.
