Abstract

The objective of this work is to validate the Life Crafting Scale in Spanish through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), as well as to contribute to a deeper understanding of life crafting in the field of positive psychology. A validation of the questionnaire was conducted through an EFA and a CFA with a sample of 179 workers. The EFA revealed three factors: cognitive crafting, seeking social support, and seeking challenges. The CFA confirmed this three-factor structure and validated the instrument for the Spanish context. The sample was limited to Spanish workers, so it is recommended to explore life crafting in different cultural contexts. This study provides a valid instrument in Spanish to evaluate life crafting, enriches the literature in positive psychology, and provides tools for applied contexts. This supports the three-factor structure of the Life Crafting Scale in Spanish and offers a useful tool to assess how people create meaning and purpose in their lives.
